Resilience and creating time

Another positive effect I’ve recently noticed of spending time on my yoga mat is that my being there actually creates time. More time in my day.. how is this possible? I’ve mentioned something similar to this in another context, the stillness in between winds, the stillness experienced when in being and not in doing. Where time siezes to exist. It felt as though it was through this break in time that my mind could relax completly and from that take on any difficulty. The word that then came to me was ‘resilience’ meaning ”the capacity to recover quickly from difficulties; toughness” or by another definition ”the ability of a substance or object to spring back into shape; elasticity”.

I felt I was in that moment giving myself a foundation of which I could then continue my day, better equiped. Giving my mind the opportunity during that lapse in time to rebuild itself, to ‘spring back in to shape’ to better handle any obstacles heading it’s way. 

Again, all the more reason for me to keep returning to my mat…
